Troika! Wilderlands Backgrounds Mumblings and current RPG project's raison d'être within!
Over in the Melsonia Arts Council discord sometimes folks (me) will ask about bog standard fantasy backgrounds.
"Here's some over here." Some folks would say.
"Hey I wrote some, they're thus." others would pipe up.
All good stuff, but none of it quite what I was after. I guess I never wanted bog standard. I wanted a template for which to make Wilderlands inspired backgrounds for Troika!
Something that I love about Troika! is the way in which the backgrounds give us this potential window into one character's life, thereby giving us a very specific perspective of the setting itself. A strong tool for painting an evocative and immersive setting, especially for something so rich in detail as the Wilderlands.
